Week 22

This week has been a fun week with you. You started rolling from your tummy to your back...which is fun to watch! We all sat with you Sunday night rolling you on your tummy and you would quickly roll to your back. Each time you did you got a loud round of applause from us! You thought it was pretty fun!

You still love your sisters and they love you! No one can get you to smile as quickly as your sisters can! I sometimes have to tell them to not sit over you or to get out of your face, but you don't seem to mind! We all love you little C!

B's Booster Seat!

This past week I bought little Miss B a big girl booster seat! She wasn't sure she wanted one at first but mommy is sick of buckling her in her five point car seat with all the winter clothing. Plus, getting the baby seat over the old big car seat was starting to wear on my back!! B picked out a car seat that has rainbows, music notes and radio's on it. It also says "Girls Rock" She loves her new "rock and roll" car seat! (At least she thinks it's a rock and roll car seat!) Mommy likes it too!

Week 21

Dear C,
Week 21 is here and you are as cute as could be! This week you found your voice. We were all talking to you Sunday night and you just started screaming. It is a cute scream for now! You seem very proud of yourself and we are too! It has been a fun week to get to hear you talk more and more!!

I also love when you get excited you stiffen your arms and legs! It is so fun to walk up to you and have you get excited to see me! It makes me feel so loved!

I love how you are addicted to your fingers...and anyone elses fingers as well! You don't suck your thumb...just fingers or your whole fist!

You are such a sweetie! We love you lots and lots!
Love,
Mama

Little Sisters!

For Christmas M gave me a coupon book. One night while getting dinner ready I used my coupon that entitled me to 15 minutes of M watching baby C for me! During this time B also decided she needed help with one of her computer games. I looked over to see this and thought it was so sweet. M is such a good helper and was able to occupy both little sisters at the same time! I am one lucky mama to have such great girls!

These Boots Were Made For Walking!!!

M has wanted a pair of black boots for over a year now. She loves shoes, which is not surprising I guess! Her auntie took her to the mall shopping and they came back with these high heel boots! She wore them all over the house that day, and most days since! She was so excited to have a pair of boots and the fact that they were her first high heels was super exciting to her as well! She was also pretty happy that mommy was jealous of her new boots!

I am happy that she is so excited about her boots, but they make me realize that my little girl is growing up! I know she is still just seven but some of the things on her mind lately have made me realize I need to enjoy her in this little girl stage before it is gone. She has become such a super little lady for me. She is always helping and trying to do her best. Her feelings are very tender and she doesn't like it when people are not getting along. I love my M so much and hope all my parenting blunders on the first child don't cause too much damage. I guess we all try our best!

Although these boots are super cute and put an extra little bounce in her step, I will always see M as my sweet little girl! I love you M!

B's Hair Cut

So, imagine my sweet little four year old B with her pretty hair wanting to get it cut. That is what we have come to in our house! B HATES having her hair brushed, styled, anything done to her hair basically. Each morning when I go to brush her hair I am met with a face like this...or worse. And that is just to brush her hair. If I want to actually do it I have to deal with lots of wailing! I finally broke down and decided to cut her hair!

I didn't want to cut her hair because it was so cute when it was done and I was worried the curls wouldn't come back. In the end I decided as long as she wanted her hair cut (which she did) it was only hair and would grow back someday. Right now in my life I can't and don't fix it everyday so it is constantly in her face.

B loved getting her hair cut. She talked the whole time to the stylist telling her she wanted hair like her big sisters friend K. It actually was cut a bit shorter than I anticipated but I think it turned out cute.

Much to B's dismay she discovered no matter what length your hair is you still have to brush it! She was really upset the next day when I wanted to run the brush through it! I guess it just hurt a bit less now than before!

Week 19

Dear C,
You are now four months old and I can't believe how fast time is going. You are such a sweet girl. You are so easy to persuade to be happy. I have caught you starting to frown and have been able to get you smiling just by smiling at you. I love that you are so content. Recently you have been sleeping 10-12 hours a night! I haven't wanted to mention how exciting it was and jinx myself out of a good nights rest!! Hopefully the trend will keep up!

This week you had your four month check up at the doctor's office! All was well and the doctor felt optimistic that the hole in your heart was closing. She felt like the murmur you have is sounding like it is going away. I guess we will find out more about this at the pediatric cardiologist at your year old visit.

Your four month stats were:

weight: 14 pounds 3 ounces (75%)

height 24 inches (50%)

You are growing and changing everyday. You are becoming more interested in the world around you and in trying to grab and hold things. You tolerate your tummy time a bit better now but you are constantly trying to roll to your back. I love the feeding I have with you in the early morning hours when it is just you and I. I always get sweet smiles which makes getting up at five a.m. all the more worth it! I love you tons and am so happy you came to our family!
Love,
Mama

Week 17

Dear baby C,

This week was full of firsts for you! You had your first cold, your first ear infection, your first medication, your first Christmas, and your first time playing with toys! Life has been busy with Christmas time here and you and I have both been sick! Luckily Auntie is here helping us all out!!

You have had your first ear infection which meant a round of antibiotics...also a first. You strongly dislike your medicine and cry almost every time I give it to you! You also hate your nose sucker...otherwise known as the torture tool! Every time I have to clear out your nose your throw your hands up to block me and move your head back and forth...so sad. Too bad it makes you breath much easier when all is said and done.

Here you are with your big sisters on your first Christmas Eve. You all got new jammies to open that night. Your auntie picked out your duckie jammies for you this year!

Here you are on your first Christmas morning with your first gift from Santa! He left you this seat which you liked at first but got tired of after a while!

Here you are with your sisters waiting to open your first Christmas presents. You didn't do much of the opening yourself...but your sisters didn't mind helping you out!

Here is one of your first gifts from your Auntie...you enjoyed giving your stuffed animal its first bath! You have started holding onto toys this week and trying to eat them/play with them, which is also another first for you!

And I just had to throw this last picture in! I love the big surprised eyes and the single bubble on your lip...which is not a first!! Love you tons little C and can't wait for more firsts with you!
Love,
Mama

Sick

So, this little girl has been so sick latly. Today she woke up throwing up for the third time in the last month. She was crying before she threw up, not because she was going to throw up but because she didn't want to deal with another day of no drinking and eating. Luckily it was a one time thing today and she seems to be ok. I feel so bad for her. Hopefully all her sickness is done and she will have a fun winter ahead! Love you dolly.

Week 15

This week you're still cute, still easy going, still squishy, and still love your hands!

This week we love you more and more!

Monkey Cheeks!

R has been going out to BYU every October to recruit for his company for the past couple of years. The girls have gotten used to daddy bringing them home a treat while he is out there. This year he saw this monkey that reminded him of C so she got a gift as well!

The cheeks on this monkey made R think of C so he brought it for her. Immediately when the older girls saw it, they said the cheeks looked like C!!

The girls thought this picture was so funny. Any thing to do with C drooling or trying to eat something makes them laugh. I just think baby C is used to me trying to eat her cheeks so she just figures it is what you do with chubby cheeks!!

O Christmas Tree!

Last week we headed out for our annual Christmas tree hunt. Of course, the hunt was not too hard since we were at a Christmas tree farm, but we still had to pick the perfect tree and make daddy cut it down!

We all bundled up even though if was pretty warm for this time of year. Of course, once we stepped out of the car the wind picked up and kept us pretty chilly the whole time! This was baby C's first snow suit experience and she was not thrilled! She soon got over being upset once we stepped out in the windy blast. I think she was more upset about the cold than the suit at that point.

The girls loved walking through the mud searching for the perfect tree.

I just think this picture of C says so much. She was such a good sport the whole time. I am sure she was in shock at being in such cold conditions but she just went along with it all!

After a quick search the girls helped us decide on the perfect tree! We didn't have much time to find a tree since it was getting dark, but we found one we all liked!

This year M held up the tree while daddy cut it down. She did such a great job!

B was afraid the tree would fall on her, so she wanted to stand far away from it! She was quite concerned until the tree actually came down!

R had to carry the tree on his own this year since I was busy carrying baby C!

I LOVE this picture of M! She is such a cute little dolly! She was so excited to pick out the tree this year. While daddy was loading it on the car she found a bunch of rocks to play on!

B also played on the rocks but was a bit more cautious on them. She always likes to do what her big sister is doing!

While daddy paid for the tree mommy took the girls over to see a few of the decorations set up! B was so excited to be a stocking!

I thought it was funny when B said she wanted to be a candy cane! I guess it didn't matter to her if it had a face cut out or not!!

B also liked the reindeer. She named this one Snowball and the other reindeer Branch head! I thought they were very creative names!
We had a lot of fun getting the tree this year. It is fun having both the big girls getting so excited about Christmas!
