Week 48

This past week you have done a lot of fun things little C. You have really enjoyed being out on the swing. You get a bit scared at the initial push but after that you are ok!

I love how you are just poking your little head out over the seat! You are getting big but this picture reminds me that you are still my little baby!

Another way in which you are getting big is that you are getting braver when it comes to standing. You are pulling yourself up more often...even if it is for little bits of time.

This summer you have loved all sorts of fruit. You especially love watermelon! Mama thought I would let you feed yourself and you had a lot of fun squeezing the juice out of your left over watermelon! You were sure a sweet, sticky mess!

You have always been such a great sleeper so I thought I better document it! I always lay you down in your crib and you turn your music on, get your binkie, and grab your hair to comfort yourself...no crying involved! I must say I am so grateful to have a baby who has been such a great sleeper!!!

I love you so much little C and can't believe how quickly this first year has flown by!

week 47

Okay, I just love this first picture of you. I think we have a few teeth that are working their way in but I just love the one finger in the mouth while smiling! What a dolly!

This week we have discovered your love of balls. You love rolling them and then chasing them down. You aren't even above trying to chew on a ball every once in a while!

You have also become much more confident in your crawling skills this week!! I am not used to you moving all over, but you keep getting faster! I think you love being able to move and chase your toys and sisters around!

I just love looking up and seeing this cute little bum crawling around! I especially think the ruffles add to the cuteness!

Sometimes you do a crawl/walk on one foot type of crawl. Usually it is when you are on a surface other than carpet. I think you're a bit confused why one leg is on soft carpet and another is on cold tile! It is so fun having you learn and grow so much. We love you baby C!

Week 46

This week you got to get out and swim a bit. We discovered you loved swimming while visiting grandma and grandpa! You love splashing in the water and watching the girls try to entertain you!
You also like kicking your legs if I get you out of your float and just hold you!

You also like trying to eat the water. I have a hard time keeping your head away from all that water. Maybe it is tastier than I remember!!

The only time you were really upset while swimming was when you were in the sun and you couldn't seem to see! I tried getting you to wear a hat, but it was immediately pulled off. Even with the strap you seem to get it right off your head!! I love you baby C and are so glad you are such a water baby!

Week 45

This week you accomplished two major things! The day after we got home from our vacation to Kansas City you learned to crawl and you also started pulling yourself up on everything!!!! We were hoping you would crawl in Kansas City but it was not meant to be!

You don't crawl all over yet but you do get to where you want to be! You seem so proud of yourself when you pull yourself up and get what you want! It is fun watching you become mobile!

You are such a happy little girl and we love having you in our family!

Mommy also loves putting your hair in a mohawk!! I also love the little curls that are in your hair when it gets wet. They usually rub out by the end of the day after your naps, but I still love your sweet little baby head!

Week 44

This week was a fun week for you baby C. You got to go to your grandparents house in Kansas City for the first time!!! You meet your Grandpa for the first time and some of your aunts and uncles and your cousin for the first time. I was worried about the plane ride but daddy held you most of the time and you did really well! You also got your fourth tooth while we were at grandma and grandpa's house! You discovered your love of swimming while in Kansas City. I discovered you would get upset if you were just watching and not actually in the water! We love you tons baby C!

Last Day of Second Grade!!

I can't believe M is done with her second grade year. Time sure seems to be moving quickly. M had a great year and grew so much. We are so blessed to have her as our daughter. She is so caring and loving and is always a help to us. I think there is a reason she is our first born. M did well academically this year but also grew into a more loving person.

M's favorite subjects in school were math (multiplication), art, learning about space, and gym! Her favorite field trip was going to the planetarium. She has also become a great reader and often reads on her own or to her little sister B! M is also a really good speller and usually gets 100's on her spelling tests. She also studies really well and got several 100's on some of her big tests this year!

I got thinking while at the bus stop that this will be B's last year watching her sister ride the bus without her. She will be starting kindergarten in the fall! She is really excited!

M was so excited after she got off the bus. She is excited about third grade and the new teacher she will have!!

M was a little sad that daddy wasn't home when she got off the bus. (This is the first time he hasn't been home after the bus got home!) She decided that calling him at work and telling him about her would make her feel a little better!

We love you so much M and are so proud of all your hard work this year!

Week 43

This week baby C has been teething a bit! She is working on getting her fourth tooth!

This week you also learned to clap baby C!!! So much fun. I have been clapping at you for awhile so when night when I clapped at you you just looked at me and did it right back! Of course, this meant a 30 minute clapping session followed with me and B clapping and you returning the claps!! Daddy and M had fun clapping with you when they got home for the night!

You big sister M said "Mommy, C is so proud of herself for clapping!" I thought that was very observant and cute. You were so proud of yourself and we all had fun playing with you! We love you baby C!!

Week 42

This week you rode the carousel for the first time. You seemed a bit confused at first but ended up having a lot of fun!!! I love you so much dolly!

Week 41

This week was quite a busy week for us! So many things happened. One of the fun things that happened was Auntie came for a visit! She sure loves you and I am pretty sure you love her!!










This week you also got your third tooth in (your top right tooth)! I can never tell when a tooth is coming since you don't seem to teeth, but I did notice it the morning it came in. It also seems to be growing in really quickly! (Maybe the ear infection you had this week had something to do with your tooth...even with an ear infection you weren't complaining much!)

You also got drug around to a lot of end of the school year activities. You seemed to endure it all with a smile. I still can't believe what a good baby you are. It is as if you knew you were coming into a busy home and were fine with that! I am so glad you have been so easy to please!

And one of the not so good things about this week is that you have started to become defiant!!! You are always trying to take your bows off!!! We'll see what happens. Mama always puts them back on and you take them right off. I guess we'll see who is more stubborn!! Might I remind you that mama spent six months trying to get you to take a bink with you spitting it out. And do you need reminded who won that battle...why yes little C, you do take a bink!!
