I'm Spinning!

So, today I ventured to a spin class at my local gym with my friend Lallie! What...it was a bit crazy. I told Lallie that you know I was working hard because I am usually a big smart alec when I work out and I just didn't have the energy to mouth off! I felt pretty good as far as my legs are concerned...it's just my nether regions that HURT! I guess next time I will have to come up with some major padding for my seat!!

Little Miss Curly Q!!

Can you tell it has been quite humid lately?!! B and her cute little curls. I even straightened her hair with my flat iron on Sunday and by the end of the day it was back to this! I love these little curls on my sweet little girl!

Did You Really Ask Me That?

I have a bit of advice for all of you in blogger land. Here are two questions you should NEVER ask a woman...or a man for that matter! Here goes:

1. "Are you pregnant?" Why no, but thanks for making me feel fat today, never mind the twenty or so pounds I've lost!

2. "Are you considering gastric bypass surgery?" What? Did that really just come out of your mouth? Do I look like I need to consider it?

Just a few tips in making talking with women easier. Now, these are two subjects you know you never need to broach with a woman!

AND YES, I HAVE BEEN ASKED BOTH IN THE PAST FEW MONTHS!!! I"M NOT BITTER OR ANYTHING!

Good Bye

So, it is time for me to say goodbye to my twenties! Tonight is the last official time I will be in my twenties. Yes, my Birthday is tomorrow and it is the big 3-0!! I have had so much fun the past ten years, but I am looking forward to another amazing ten years until I hit my forties!! Here's to out with the old and in with the new! Good bye twenties!
Why the random picture of me in the hospital with the girls you ask??? Because these little ones were some of the best things that happened to me in my twenties...along with getting married the the best guy in the world!!

Cowgirl Cutie

Okay, isn't this little cowgirl the cutest!?!! M wore her cowboy boots out last night and B was intrigued. She decided she needed a pair of cowboy boots.

She said, "Mommy, can I buy cowboy boots at the store?"

"Sure B, next time we go." I replied!

"Yeah, I get cowboy boots" B said!

She is just too cute!

Today she decided not to wait for her own pair and decided to use M's boots!

The boots were a bit big but she managed to have fun despite having to pick her feet up a bit higher so she wouldn't trip over the cowboy boots!

She ran around the house in the boots, her pull up and her shirt...pretty classy don't you think?!

She was so thrilled to be wearing her big sisters boots. She just kept running around talking about how she was a "cowboy"! Who knows, maybe someday she will be a cowboy! If that is what she wants, I'll be fine with that. (As long as she likes other kinds of shoes, especially high heels, I'll be fine with the cowboy boots every once in awhile!!) I love my little cowgirl!

Do You See What I See?!

Do you see what I see?! Why yes, that grass has been freshly mowed by yours truly!! We have been out of town on vacation and it hadn't been mowed in almost a week and a half. To put it in other terms, it was like a months worth of growth in SoCal!! R has been so busy at work and hasn't had a chance to mow it. He was going to mow it last night before mutual but I decided I would rather spend time with him than have him out mowing. I put B down for a nap, M went to the neighbors to swim, and I hauled myself out in the 91 degree heat with 98% humidity to mow the lawn!! Two hours later and many trips to our forest to dump the clippings and I was done. Yes, I was totally sweating and had a bit of a head ache but that cold shower sure felt nice after I was all done! I know, I'm pretty much the best wife! R agreed as well when he came home expecting to mow and drove up to the beauty of freshly mowed grass!!
Note to self: in the future, try not mowing in the middle of the afternoon...it might be cooler at any other point of the day!

End of School Party!

Our good friends invited us over for an end of the year school party. They just got a huge water slide/pool and the kids were so excited. M watched the other kids go down the slide and realized they went pretty fast. She went down once by herself and after that wanted daddy to hold her hand so she wouldn't go flying down the slide!

B decided to try the slide out by herself as well! Her look in this second picture is pretty priceless! She sped down the slid and splashed in the cold water! I don't think she was expecting to get so wet. She got out for awhile to warm up but returned to the fun a bit later! Thanks to our friends for letting us spend the day with them! It was fun despite the drama of M getting slivers in her toe and one of my girls crying over something every ten minutes!! (I guess they were tired and after having R and I hold M down while our friend Lallie tried to get the sliver out we decided to head home! We left the slivers in over night and R was finally able to get them out this morning. Poor M...she was traumatized and R and I felt pretty bad too!)

Dancing in the Rain!!

A few days ago we had a pretty stormy day, with lots of rain, thunder and lightening! (Not something I was used to growing up in CA!) When we were eating dinner the sun had finally come back up. As we got up to clear the dinner table it started pouring rain! The crazy thing was that it was totally sunny!

So rather than clean the table I let the girls go out in the rain! This was actually their first time playing in the rain...so sad it took soo long!

M loved playing and dancing in the rain. B took a bit more convincing to get off the porch but once she did she had a fun time! By the time they were done M was dancing without the cover of her umbrella. It was so fun watching them have such a fun time in the rain! I love my little girls so much!!

Last Day of School!

Who would have guessed that these pictures are of the same little girl on her way to school!
You were so scared the first day of school. We literally had to force you on the bus. You clung to daddy and we couldn't even force a smile out of you.
Today is your last day of school! You are excited for a fun summer but are sad about leaving your teacher and all your friends. You have grown so much this year! We have been so happy with your Kindergarten experience. You can count to beyond a hundred (which your mommy couldn't do until the end of first grade!), you are reading, counting by five, learning about money, and loving school. Your favorite thing this past year was art! You have made so many nice friends and your teacher, Mrs. D, always has kind things to say about you. We love you so much and look forward to watching you grow in the years to come! Keep up the good work!
Love,
Mama

B's Birthday!

The morning of B's party she came down the stairs and was so excited to see all the decorations!! She had a Little Einsteins party and loved all the fun Einstein decorations! (She calls Little Einsteins "Pat Pat" because when the rocket takes off you have to help him by patting your legs. She learned how to saw pat pat before the Little Einsteins so the name has stuck)!

B loved her Rocket cake! This was my first homemade Birthday cake and I think it turned out pretty well! That night after all the festivities B came up to me and said, "Thank you for my pat pat cake mom!" It was so sweet!

She loved blowing the candles out and was able to do it all by herself!

The kids had fun making musical shakers and dancing to classical music with them. I let M stay home from school to be my big helper that day. I think it was actually kind of hard for her. She wanted to play with all of B's toys but B wanted everything to herself. By the end of the party M was crying. I asked why she was crying and she said "Because it isn't my Birthday!" I thought it was rather funny!

Everyone had fun at the party. I was glad R was off of work because he did the majority of entertaining the kids (as well as cleaning up and vacuuming all the cake crumbs up after the party)!

B really had a fun Birthday! Thanks to everyone who helped make it special!

Peony

When B was born my parents were here. Instead of bringing me flowers to the hospital, they planted flowers in my flower beds. They planted yellow marigolds, pink zinnias, and this beautiful peony which comes back every year. I love these flowers and they always remind me of B and the fun I had with my parents when she was born!

After M's ballet recital I gave her a bouquet of peony's! They were so pretty. I never realized they smelled so good!

Little Ballerina

Isn't my little ballerina beautiful! She had her dance recital this past Saturday. She did such a great job!

Here she is floating across the stage!

This is one of her best friends and our neighbor. They have fun taking ballet together!

It was so fun watching all the girls up on stage. M has been fun to watch as she grows and learns each week in her ballet class! We love our little ballerina!
